Marry Me, Marry Me 'Way Out In Laramie . . . Or Not (Part Two)

And here is Jess's list.
(See Slim's list here.)

Laurel
Run to Tumavaca

One of Jess's most serious relationships, although it doesn't work out too well because of Laurel's forever-quest of looking for "a real man." Jess and Laurel (Gene Rowlands) travel to Mexico together, but Jess is not aware that Laurel is going there to meet up with another man until it's too late . . . for both of them.

Gloria
Duel at Alta Mesa

Gloria (Fay Spain) accompanies Jess when he goes on a manhunt. The man he's after is the man Gloria thinks she loves. On the trip, she and Jess start to like each other and even share a kiss—but she still thinks she is in love with the other man. At the end of the episode, Jess returns her safely to her father.

Celie
The Protectors

Celie (Mari Aldon) hardly counts as neither she nor Jess had any real feelings for each other. She tries to seduce him while the two of them are going to Denver by train for sheriff-business, because the business involves her more than people realize. He kisses her twice before deciding she's "poison."

Janette
Midnight Rebellion

Jess is working as a spy, trying to help put down an uprising initiated by a man who hopes to take over a piece of land that the U.S. and Canada are negotiating ownership of. Janette (Marian Collier) is an innocent bystander who is now a sort of hostage. In a way she is as much of a spy as Jess. Jess falls hard and fast for her, and she responds in his favor, but tragically in the end, she dies to save many others' lives.

Mae
Ride Into Darkness

Mae (Phyllis Avery) helps Jess recover from a wound, and he kisses her, but she has the personality of wallpaper paste, so he doesn't pursue a relationship.

Mary
The Lost Dutchman

Jess almost falls for Mary (Karen Steele) but ends up having her arrested instead.

Lottie
Trigger Point

Lottie's (Mary Murphy) positive personality plays off of Jess well when unfortunate circumstances throw them together—the circumstances being that they are stranded out on the desert. The episode ends with her changing her stage ticket to go to Laramie, but we never see nor hear from her again.
(Ginny, Lottie, and Sharon all tie for popular choice for Jess to have settled down with.)

Julie
Men in Shadows

Jess is hiding Julie (Joan Tabor) and her boyfriend up at a line shack on Slim's place. He feels her boyfriend (who once saved his life) is not guilty of the murder charges against him. Attraction sprouts between Julie and Jess, and when they pretend like they're having an affair to cover up why Jess is at the cabin so much, no one—including Julie's boyfriend—is sure just how much they had to pretend. At the end of the episode, after the boyfriend is killed, Jess asks Julie to stay in Laramie. She tells him no. "We're so much alike, Jess, and there's so many memories that would stand in our way. But, maybe someday. . . ."

Haru
Dragon at the Door

Jess is captivated by the beautiful Japanese woman, Haru (Nobu McCarthy), from the moment he first sees her. In the end, after sharing a kiss with Jess that she did not fully understand, she apologizes for giving him the wrong ideas and admits that she is in love with the man who works with her father.

Sue
Deadly is the Night

Jess does not really like Sue (Marlene Willis), and she does not particularly like him, but she kisses him to see if he's "more exciting than Bud." Bud, the boy who is in love with her, finds them and is understandably upset. Jess is rooting for Bud from there on out.

Ginny
The Lawless Seven

Ginny (Jena Engstrom)is a blind girl who lives up in a mountain hideaway with her mother, her outlaw father, and her father's cohorts. When Jess is falsely accused of crime and persecuted, he escapes into the mountains, getting shot in the process. Ginny finds him unconscious by a water hole. Jess learns to love the girl who is happy despite not being able to see. She likes him too: "You're a nice person to be with," she whispers while he holds her. Jess vows to get her off of that mountain and to a doctor who might be able to help her. After rounding up the gang, that is just what he does. Her sight is eventually restored enough that she can write to him.
(Ginny, Lottie, and Sharon all tie for popular choice for Jess to have settled down with.)

Sara
The Dynamiters

Jess goes after the man who used dynamite to rob a stagecoach, nearly killing several of Jess's friends. To find the stolen money, Jess saves the wounded outlaw's life and pretends to want a share of the money in return. The outlaw has Jess take him to a nearby cabin where his fiance, Sara (Jean Allison), lives with her teenage son. Sara doesn't know about her fiance's underhanded dealings, but realizes Jess is a different kind of man, in a good way. She admires him, and he thinks the same way of her. After all is taken care of, and after a short stay at the Sherman Ranch, Sara and her son go West.

Zoey/Sara
Trial By Fire

Zoey (Cloris Leachman) and Jess aren't in love, but they like each other. After a heart-to-heart talk, they embrace, and someone who walks in on them gets the wrong idea—and that particular someone means a lot to Zoey and her future.

Opal
The Fortune Hunter

Opal (Patricia Crest) just passes through in one scene, as a saloon girl hanging off of Jess, but she gives Slim and Jess some important information.

Sharon
Lost Allegiance

Sharon (Myrna Fahey) and her father help Jess while he is recovering from an accident. Jess kisses her; they have mutual respect and admiration for each other, but she ends up marrying someone else.
(Ginny, Lottie, and Sharon all tie for popular choice for Jess to have settled down with.)

Ellen
The Dispossessed

Ellen (Bennye Gatteys) travels with her sister and an older woman and three men who are mustangers. When Slim and Jess help the women with their wagon team, Jess takes notice of Ellen and Ellen takes notice of Jess. At the end of the episode, Ellen finds a way to stay faithful to Jess, and he fights and gets her the life she wanted to live.

Anne
The Edge of Evil

Anne (Suzanne Lloyd) and her husband are good friends of Jess. When her husband starts down the road to lawlessness, Jess does his best to stop him. Eventually, he succeeds and Anne and her husband have a happily-ever-after. Anne kisses Jess good-bye, and although she only loves her husband, there was enough interaction between her and Jess to warrant notice.

Helen
Badge of Glory

Helen (Jo Morrow) is a saloon girl who works in a town a little ways from Laramie. Jess knows her well, and they enjoy catching up over a couple drinks.
