Dale Robertson's Birthday

Dale Robertson was one of the most popular western actors of the 1950s, starring in a number of
movies and television shows, including Tales of Wells Fargo (1957 - 1962). But Dale's popularity never completely died away, and many Western fans of today still regard him as a favorite. Nothing shows this as well as their own comments, so here's what a few of Dale's fans have to say about him:

From all I've read concerning Dale, I'm just happy in knowing that he was as true to himself and his beliefs, in his movies as well as his personal life. Not many were like him. He had principles, morals, and was loved by so many. We enjoy watching his movies. 😊
~ Shawn

(Read more about Dale's way of sticking to his principles here.)

Dale was a man's man, someone who knew who he was and didn't let others choose his path for him. I think most of all he loved being a father, a grandfather and an Oklahoman. I loved everything he embodied and he was sure to reflect that in all of his movies and TV shows. You are forever 'gentle on my mind,' Dale Robertson!
~ Alice

Would like to thank him for his service. He was very easy on the eyes 👀, that means good looking you know. Loved his horse 🐎, and also watching Dale on the western channel every afternoon on Tales of Wells Fargo. 🎥
~ Jean

Dale served in WWII, and was wounded twice in battle. Always proud of his country, he put his life on the line to fight for it. (Read about Dale's service on Chuck Hawk's page here.)

Well, I think that Dale's always been a very handsome man, one of the nicest actors I've ever seen, and a wonderful man. He's the kind of person I'd love to meet. I really liked him as Jim Hardie, and in Murder She Wrote and in a few other things!!!
~ Rachael

One of my favorite actors as a child and still is. I remember me and my dad arguing about who was fastest on the draw. I said Cheyenne, but dad said it was Jim Hardie, lol. Wonderful memories.
~ John

Have loved his little wave when he leaves the room, and his slow beautiful voice...wonderful man.
~ Elizabeth

Happy day Dale, you were a role figure to be growing up in my childhood on British TV. Always in the mind when I think of cowboys of the west.
~ Robert

Dale Robertson in my opinion was a very kind, gentle, honorable man, from what I read; he was a friend to all he met, and your life was better for it. I so wish I would have had the opportunity to talk to him, or just send a letter to him to let him know how much he meant to me.
