One of the longest-running prime-time television shows, Lassie underwent many changes during its seventeen seasons.
Andy Clyde had a regular/semi-regular role as Cully Wilson from 1959 - 1964, appearing in thirty episodes. Lassie's owner, young Timmy Martin (Jon Provost) becomes good friends with animal-loving Cully. Also appearing as regulars during this period were Cloris Leachman (57-58) June Lockhart (58 -64), Hugh Reilly (58-64), Jon Shepodd (57-58), George Chandler, and Tom Ferrell.

The Real McCoys (1957 - 1963, 224 episodes)

The McCoy family consists of Grandpa Amos (Walter Brennan), Luke (Richard Crenna), Luke's wife Kate (Kathleen Nolan), and Luke younger siblings Hassie (Lydia Reed), and "Little Luke" (Michael Winkelman). The McCoys move from rural West Virginia to California to work on a farm they inherited. As they adjust to their new life, the McCoys befriend farm hand Pepino Garcia (Tony Martinez), and their neighbors, George McMichaels (Andy Clyde) and his sister Flora (Madge Blake). Andy Clyde appeared in twenty-nine episodes.

Hopalong Cassidy

Although not a television series, Andy Clyde is well-remembered for playing California Carlson in many Hopalong Cassidy movies and also on the Hopalong Cassidy radio show (1948 - 1952). He was Hoppy's sidekick in 36 movies, beginning with Three Men From Texas (1940).

In her memoir, Grace Bradley Boyd (Mrs. Hoppy) comments on how glad Bill Boyd was to work with Andy—the two got along well, and with Russel Hayden, they made a memorable trio. Andy Clyde's last Hopalong Cassidy movie, Strange Gamble (1948), was the last of the full-length Hopalong Cassidy movies.
