Dale Robertson Birthday

Dale as a child

Dale Robertson
July 14, 1923 - February 27, 2013

Named by rodeo performer Casey Tibbs as being among the best riders in Hollywood, Dale Robertson was also known for his "gunslinger" abilities (they liked to say that his draw was too fast for the camera to catch!).

Dale starred in many feature-length films, like Return of the Texan (1952), The Gambler from Natchez (1954), Sitting Bull (1954), and A Day of Fury (1956), but he is most famous for his role on television's Tales of Wells Fargo (1957 - 1962).

Dale held personal values above money and fame, and he enjoyed making quality entertainment for young and old alike. His signature charisma always makes a memorable performance.

He was married four times and had two daughters, Rochelle and Rebel Lee (Rebel was adopted). He and his wife, Susan, were married for thirty-three years, up until his death in 2013 at age eighty nine.
