Regular Shows:
Whispering Smith (May, 1961 - Sept. 1961, 26 episodes)
Whispering Smith feautured Audie Murphy as the title character -- a police detective in Denver, CO.
The show didn't find success with the actors, with viewers, or with the studio censors* and only 20 episodes were broadcast. But despite its unpopularity in the '50s, Whispering Smith is enjoyed by many people today.
Throughout the series, singer Guy Mitchell was also a regular as Smith's co-worker, and Sam Buffington played their superior officer (until Buffington's tragic death, partway through the series).

Whispering Smith: The Complete TV Series
*One particular episode (The Grudge) contained an amount of violence that disturbed censors. But it's not the actual content that set Whispering Smith apart, so much as the time frame it was allowed; the episodes were half the length of most other dramatic Westerns of that era, but they tried to fit the same amount of drama in.
